Starting about four years ago I left my job as a Service Technician. The hours were long and the pay was low. After starting my job as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I finally had the flexibility to address health problems that were put on the backburner.
My health problems included; severe sleep apnea, weight gain, high blood pressure and depression and anxiety. A sleep study was done and a CPAP machine was prescribed and my symptoms improved.
My health started to improve, but it wasn’t optimal. It was around this time when my journey toward self-improvement began. I started by getting into shape by taking up hiking, biking and weight lifting and learned more about nutrition and holistic health.
I started studying the topics that I found interesting.
- Holistic health
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Mental Health Issues
- Spirituality and Philosophy
- Writing (specifically blogging)
I now want to share with you my exciting new blog “Mike’s Holistics”.
Why is it called Mike’s Holistics?
I began to realize that there is an intimate interconnection between mind and body. Rather than just treat the symptoms of an illness it helps to transform the social and emotional aspects of your life also.
